Ghana is an ideal destination for a wildlife safari holiday. With its 16 National Parks, resource reserves and protected areas, it is home to a dazzling array of wildlife.

Highlights include Forest and Bush Elephants, Hippopotami, Lions, Leopards, Hyenas, Baboons, 7 species of Monkey, 3 species of Crocodile, Buffalo, various Antelope and much, much more. Mole National Park alone has over 93 mammal species, Ghana also has over 760 species of birds and an amazing 1000 species of butterfly. Our local expert wildlife guides are recognised as West Africa’s finest; indeed many previously worked with the Ghana Wildlife Division before joining our full-time team of experts. Ghana covers vast and varied habitats, from wetland lagoons and saltpans along the Gold Coast, to tropical Guinea rainforest in southern Ghana. More centrally, you will find broadleaf Guinea woodland and as you venture northwards, the Sahelian savannah plains. During all of our wildlife tours, we incorporate cultural excursions as we pass through remote areas seldom visited by tourists. This enhances our guests' experience, giving them a sense of isolation from the developed world as they immerse themselves in the real Ghana during their adventure of discovery. Idyllic settings, coupled with the colourful and warm hospitality of the varied ethnic groups who live in and around the National Parks, provide you with all the reasons you need to take an excursion into one of the finest wildlife zones in the world.

Our small group all-inclusive scheduled Ghana Wildlife Safari tours operate year-round; alternatively we can design bespoke tours for individuals, couples, families, small or large groups, just contact us

Quality time will be dedicated to the rich Upper Guinea Rainforest of West Africa, in search of the many specialities that occur here, including 7 Monkey species, Forest Elephant, Pangolin, Potto, Anomalure, Duikers, an abundance of birdlife and over 1000 butterfly species. Northern Ghana’s habitat is such a contrast to the south, as we take game rides in the open savannah  at Mole National Park and spend quality time walking with elephants and enjoying some of the 93 mammal species recorded there. Early mornings and night walks are the norm, looking for nocturnal species. BIRD AND HABITAT CONSERVATION PECK

Our Picathartes Education and Conservation for Knowledge Fund aims to support the three communities which surround a small area of Upper Guinea Rainforest protecting endangered bird and mammal species, including the Long-tailed Pangoline and at least 24 nesting sites for an endangered bird species, the Yellow-headed Picathartes. Ultimately we hope that by showing our commitment to the communities through ethical travel and eco-tourism, enabling them to see the immediate benefits of conserving the habitat, they will help us stop the illegal logging and hunting activities by locals who come from or pass through their communities.
